MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) spotted off Southern Leyte is now affecting Metro Manila and some areas in Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday., This news data comes from:http://bv-jkg-vk-rbid.aichuwei.com
LPA affects Metro Manila, Mindanao, Visayas
Pagasa however said that the LPA is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression in 24 hours.
Estimated some 290 kilometers northeast of Maasin City, the weather disturbance brought cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the rest of Visayas.
Flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains would be likely in these areas, the weather bureau said.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos, Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan, and Antique would have similar weather conditions due to the southwest monsoon.

The rest of the country would have partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated downpours or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.
